We are Criadero El Ocaso

We have been in the paso fino breeding and show business for 20 years. We started in Malibu, California and moved to more lush pastures, Ocala,  in 1994. After having many inhouse trainers but not being pleased with the traditional methods of Paso fino training, we decided to train our own horses. With the help of some traditional methods, we mainly learned and incorporated natural horsemanship methods. With a better understanding of the horses mind and how he learns, we are able to train a horse in more human ways with better and quicker results. We are also able to retrain and rehabilitate most horses, but some issues and behaivors are never erased. The file is not deleted, but it can be stored and the rider is taught to deal with those issues if they come up. Horses are taught body language and cues to become confident, safe and trusting companions. It is very important to also teach people and when buying one of our horses you need to know how to speak the language they have been taught them. We invite you to come visit and see for yourself.
